Tips for New Players

1. Play With a "Golf Disc"
   Learn to play with a disc designed for disc golf, not a recreational Frisbee®. Don't buy more than one or two discs to start.
    
2. Bring a Friend Along
   The first time you play, bring a friend along. The camaraderie only adds to the fun!
    
3. Don't Expect to Throw Like a Pro
   Golf discs take practice to learn to throw. Remember, every good player started out as a beginner!
    
4. Ask for Help or Advice
   Disc golfers love bringing new players into the game. Stop and ask a local player for tips. Chances are they'll be flattered!
    
5. Have Fun!
   The keys to disc golf are to relax, have a good time, and enjoy the fresh air and natural setting!
    
6. Join a Local League, Take a Local Class or Clinic, Join the PDGA
   The game only gets more rewarding the more you learn, and the more you share the game with others. Investigate local, state, national and worldwide opportunities to learn and play!
